The UA-PTC Adult Education program will be responsible for reviewing those goals and will decide if services can be providedtowardsmeetingthosegoalswiththestudent.Ifthegoalsarenotinaccordancewith program service policies, the student will be required to seek other, more appropriate referrals.ENROLLMENTPROCEDURESA newstudentmust:1. Completeaninquiryformonlineat https://uaptc.edu/adult-education2. CompletetheIntakeApplicationand Barriers Assessment form3. Submit Application, Barriers Assessment, and Identification information toadulteducation@uaptc.edu4. Schedule TABE Test5. Complete online orientation, read and acknowledge receipt of student handbook** All minor students and parents/guardians must attend orientation with the Program Director before completing ANY steps above.INSTRUCTIONALPROCESS1. Certified Instructors will teach students and develop individualized Student Learning Plans (SLP) for each student.2. Students in managed enrollment courses, must complete mandatory instructional hours.3. All students will be required to post-TABE test each time 40 instructional hours are obtained.4. All students are required to take the GED Ready test once a 535 or above score is received in an area on the TABE or post-TABE tests.5. All students are required to take the GED Official exam once a score of 145 or above is received in an area on the GED Ready Test.CAREERPATHWAYSThe UA-PTC Adult Education Program requires all students to complete Career Pathways Trainingas a requirementofthefederalWorkforceInitiativeandOpportunityAct.Eachstudent must develop a career plan, complete career assessments and write a resume before exiting the program. The program%u2019s Certified Career Services Provider will lead the students in completing these tasks.
