Campus Security AuthoritiesThe College has designated certain officials to serve as campus security authorities. Reports of criminal activity can be made to these officials. They in turn will ensure that the crimes are reported for collection as part of the College's annual report of crime statistics. The campus security authorities to whom the College would prefer that crimes be reported are listed below.%u2022Director of Police and Public Safety at 501-812-2248%u2022Assistant Director ofPolice and Public Safety at 501-771-6041%u2022Dean of Student Life and Wellness at 501-812-2756Reporting a Crime or EmergencyThe College encourages accurate and prompt reporting of all criminal actions, emergencies, or other incidents occurring on campus, onother property owned by the College, or on nearby public property to the appropriate administrator and appropriate police agencies. Such a report is encouraged when the victim of a crime elects to, or is unable to, make such a report.%u2022All crimes occurringon UA-PTC property should be reported immediately to the Campus Police Department. The Office number is 501-812-2711.%u2022If a crime is in progress or there is some other situation posing imminent danger, call UA-PTC Police immediately. For the Main Campus and the Aviation Site, please call 501-580-1831. For the South Campus and Business and Industry Center call 501-626-7152. You may always dial 911. UA-PTC Police dispatch can be reached at 501-812-2711.%u2022Students, staff, and visitors should also report situations to one of the campus police offices identified above. If requested, a College staff member will assist in making the report to police.%u2022Anonymous incident reports can also be made by calling 501-812-2248 or e-mailing PtcPoliceTips@uaptc.edu.Confidential ReportingThe College will protect the confidentiality of victims. Only those with a need to know the identity for purposes of investigating the crime, assisting the victim or disciplining the perpetrator will know the victim's identity.Pursuant to theCollege%u2019s sexual misconduct policy, when an employee who is not a confidential resource becomes aware of alleged misconduct under that policy (including, but not limited to, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking), the employee is responsible for reporting that information, including the status of the parties if known, to the Title IX Coordinator. A victim of other types of crimes (e.g., aggravated assault, burglary, etc.) who does not want to pursue action within the College disciplinary system or the criminal justice system is nevertheless encouraged to make a confidential report to a campus security authority. Upon the victim%u2019s request, a report of the details of the incident can be filed with the College without revealing the victim%u2019s identity. Such a confidential report complies with the victim%u2019s wishes, but still helps the College take appropriate steps to ensure the future safety of the victim and others.
