Security Considerations in the Maintenance of FacilitiesThe UA-PTC Police Department works with the Facilities Department to identify maintenance issues on campus that may be safety hazards. Safety checks are completed to identify street or safety lights that are not functioning properly, or to determine if shrubs or other landscaping might need trimming. Maintenance personnel regularly check to ensure there is adequate lighting on pathways and that egress lighting is working in hallways and stairwells.Educational Programs Related to Security Awareness and Prevention of Criminal ActivityThe College seeks to enhance the security of its campus and the members of the campus community by periodically presenting educational programs to inform students and employees about campus security procedures and practices, to encourage students and employees to be responsible for their own security and the security of others and to inform them about the prevention of crimes. These programs are discussed below. The College provides information at the beginning of each academic term for students and employees regarding the College%u2019s security procedures and practices. This information is in the form of online training modules, campus presentations, and safety brochures. Among other things, it advises students and employees of the importance of reporting criminal activity, to whom crimes should be reported, being responsible for their own safety and the safety of others and practices regarding timely warnings and emergency notifications. %u2022UA-PTC offers online training modules for students and employees on sexual assault prevention, alcohol and other drugs, mental well-being, and campus safety. %u2022UA-PTC Police Department offers active aggressor educational and personal safety information sessions to the UA-PTC campus community. %u2022On-site examinations of a physical facility and its surrounding property are conducted by UA-PTC Police officers for the purpose of determining security status, identifying deficiencies, and defining and recommending the protection needed. These are done by departmental request.%u2022The UA-PTC Police Department operates a network of security cameras in order to enhance security and safety on campus. Indoor and outdoor cameras are located in strategic locations throughout the campus. %u2022All UAPTC community members are automatically enrolled in the RAVE Emergency Alert System.Community members may add additional e-mail or mobile devices at RAVE Emergency Alert Sign-Up. Monitoring Off Campus Locations of Recognized Student OrganizationsThe College does not have any officially recognized student organizations with off campus locations and therefore does not monitor or record criminal conduct occurring at such locations.
