16Anyindividualorgroupbehaviorwhichisabusive,obscene,lewd,indecent,violent,excessively noisy, and disorderly or which unreasonably disturbs other groups or individuals is prohibited.OtherViolationsAnyattempttocommitanyoftheoffenseslistedunderthissection,(anattempttocommitan offense is defined as the intention to commit the offense coupled with the taking of some action toward its commission).%u2022Violationofpublishedcollegepolicies,rulesandregulations,includingbutnotlimited to, parking, smoking, solicitation, distribution of literature, sexual harassment and campus posting rules.%u2022Violationoffederal,stateorlocallaws.In allcasesofallegedviolationsofpubliclawor student code of conduct, the college reserves the right to review the allegations and exercise disciplinary sanctions (if any) in addition to any proceedings that occur as a matter of public law.%u2022Aidingor abettinganyviolationoffederal law, state lawor localordinance.DISCIPLINARYPROCEDURESUA-PTC Adult Education may discipline any student violating the code of conduct. The Director or teachers may use their discretion in matters of discipline on a case-by-case basis.Some behaviorswhichwillresultinimmediatedismissalfromtheprogramincludebutarenotlimited to bullying, fighting, illegal activities, or threatening bodily harm to any staff or student.Thefollowingconsequenceswillbeusedas a guidetodisciplinethosewhofailtofollowthe code of conductDISCIPLINARYPROCESSAnystaffmember mayissue a verbalwarning%u2022First Offense- A teachermayissue a verbal warning%u2022SecondOffense- Theteacherwillcounselthestudentregardingviolationofthecodeof conduct.%u2022ThirdOffense- Thestudentwillbedismissedfromtheprogram.Parent,student, teacher and director will discuss other options for academic continuation.STUDENTGRIEVANCEPROCEDURESUA-PTC receives and resolves complaints using a variety of methods. Students having complaints about specific instructors or other academically related issues should first attempt toresolvetheissuewiththestudent
